Games – Competitions
At the start of the week, take part in our Bingo to win a whole range of prizes including a thrilling ride down the River Ardèche, a visit to a treetop adventure park, museum, castles and much more besides… Not forgetting our local produce.
There are table tennis tables available as well as football goals for everyone of all ages to enjoy a knock-around!
Exercise bikes are also available for you to keep fit between two ice creams…
Holidaymakers can get together to watch the sports events on the big screen and why not go head-to-head for a table football match outside the snack bar…
The unmissable traditional bowls: Petanque
The petanque pits (lit-up in the evenings) are iconic on a campsite in France and holidaymakers meet up here to play against one another and have some fun.
In July/August, there’s a petanque tournament organised once a week.
Anyone can take part, whatever their level or their age. Family atmosphere guaranteed!
For the little ones
The little ones can have fun under the watchful eye of their parents at the children’s play area, reserved especially for them, and they’ll make lots of new friends during their holiday!
Sightseeing
Thomas can take you on guided outings to explore stunning, unforgettable sites and share a little of their history and, why not, a quick swim too…
Themed meals
We host themed meals for you to come and experience once a week.
This is an opportunity to sample dishes with unexpected flavours and try something different from the dishes usually served.
Stars in your eyes
Why not gain an insight into astronomy during our star-studded evenings organised by the Balazuc Museum?
How does a telescope work? What is the point of sky charts and how do you use them? What can you see through binoculars?
An opportunity for gazing in wonder at our beautiful starry sky in southern Ardèche and to unearth its mysteries.
This evening event has been designed for adults and budding little scientists alike!
The Ardèche is an open-air playground… Enjoy it!
Outdoor activities
The Ardèche is a colourful and sunny region, with beautiful landscapes and the soothing, running waters of the river.
Venture down the Ardèche in a canoe and admire the magnificent wild natural environment around you.
Climb the Cirque de Gens just 2 km away from the campsite, or try some aquatic activities: canyoning down the Chassezac or the Bésorgues.
Get an introduction to caving, paragliding, Via Ferrata at the Pont du Diable, angling and even paddleboarding directly below the campsite…
Not-to-mention the many hiking trails to discover in the surrounding area on foot or on a Mountain Bike, with the sound of the cicadas leading the way
Come and practice your skills along the trails of the iconic “L’Ardèchoise” bike race, held right here.
For a more easy-going bike ride, go along the green path the “Via Ardèche” on a bike or an electric bike, between Vogüé, Ruoms and Vallon Pont d’Arc, or take the little roads and explore the typical villages throughout this region.
Canoeing / kayaking
Drift down the famous Ardèche Gorges and pass under the Pont d’Arc bridge. Stop for a picnic, a swim or to camp under the starry sky in a magnificent setting. A total change of scenery guaranteed.
The 6 km ‘mini descent’ takes you under the Pont d’Arc, and on the ‘long descent’, you’ll be exploring the entire length of the gorges.
Or you could choose the 11 km descent from Lanas and 8 km from Balazuc, stop off and explore this magnificent village on the way.
Canyoning
Swim down a river and whizz down the natural slides that the river has shaped into the limestone rock, then when you reach the superb, quiet areas, you can climb up the rocks and jump into the water.
An original way to explore the canyon from the top of the river, an unforgettable experience!
A State-qualified instructor will guide you all the way.
Fishing
The Ardèche river is heaven-on-earth for fans of fishing and there are plenty of great spots where you can catch predatory species such as large perch and a few pike, and other popular species such as river herring, eel, pike-perch and carp. This area is also adapted to beginners who can practice their skills by trying to catch white fish.
The Ardèche is a great river for fishing because all the waters of the Cévennes Ardéchoises and some of the waters from the upper Loire river flow into it.

Treetop adventure trail
Come and explore the forest from a different angle and embrace the great outdoors at the same time. A new thrilling experience awaits!
Go from tree to tree, following the trail, across obstacles, down zip wires, etc. There are even trails adapted to the little ones, and a team of professional instructors is on-hand at all times.
Parachute jump
A parachute jump is an unforgettable experience, an indescribable feeling, a mix of feeling fantastic, free and a rush of adrenaline!
The team of instructors are highly experienced and have over 10,000 jumps under their belts, so you will be in good hands with a professional yet friendly atmosphere for this once in a lifetime experience. An emotional experience guaranteed!
Come and jump from a plane from almost 4,000 m up above the Ardèche Gorges.
Suitable for everyone! From the ages of 8 to 88! People with reduced mobility are welcome :)
Electric bikes
Explore the Ardèche in a different way along the ‘Via Ardèche’ greenway route.
Alone, as a family or with friends, you can expect a fantastic bike ride here thanks to the range of bikes and accessories on offer. Just 10 min from the campsite.
Horse riding
A unique experience! Ride along the trails on horseback, past vineyards and dry-stone walls, guided by the sound of the cicadas as you go.
Cool off as you cross the Ardèche, Chassezac and La Beaume rivers.
Donkey rides
Come on an exploration with Carab’âne.
From Chauzon, set off on a half-day, full-day or several day outing, suitable from the age of 3. A wonderful family adventure :)
Activities can be booked directly from the campsite reception desk.
Gourmet and cultural outings
Tours and tastings at the Ardèche wine cellars, local markets for food lovers to come and taste the specialities of the Ardèche, including:
- nougat
- goat’s cheese
- olives
- the famous Chestnut cream!
Not-to-mention the cultural tours:
- Chauvet Cave 2
- the museums (prehistory, magnanery, Alphonse Daudet, etc.) and the many caves, each one more beautiful than the last
- the castles (Vogüé, Balazuc, Aubenas, Labastide de Virac, Château des Roure)
